Fifty Years a Bro
Congratulations to Brother Patrick Lennon OSA who celebrated his Golden Jubilee on Friday last.Mass was celebrated in St Monica's Church by Fr Gerry Horan OSA with Fr Matt Cooney OSA, Fr Michael Brennock OSA, Fr Seamus Humphries OSA,Fr Ben O'Brien OSA and Fr Tony Egan OSA all in attendance.

In an effort to raise awareness of litter issues at St Augustine’s, a group of Transition Year students gave a presentation to 1st years entitled “Put your litter in its place”. The group along with teacher Ms Eileen Murphy have located a number of recycling station throughout the school. All students are being actively encouraged to generate a cleaner and healthier environment at St Augustine’s.
Junior Cert. Students Excel
The Junior Certificate class of 2014 received their results on Wednesday last which were of the usual high standard we have come to expect at St Augustine's. Principal Ailbhe Ní Neachtain complimented the group on their success which she described as,exemplary and a tribute to the hard work of both students and teachers.

World Kickboxing Championships
Emily Foley (5th year) is part of the Irish team that travelled to Rimini, Italy earlier this week to participate in the World Kickboxing Championships. Emily will be taking part in the weapons and overhand categories (16-18) age group.

RDS “Irish Times” Higher Options.
Ninety students attended this event on Wednesday, 17th at the RDS .Both Irish & European universities were showcased to prospective students. The Friary students had the opportunity to speak with lecturers and current students about college entry requirements, scholarships, major and elective modules in degrees and much more. The event was a wonderful success giving the students an insight into the courses that are available for them. Many thanks to Ms Bríd O’Kennedy (Yearhead), Ms Elaine Moore (Career Guidance) and Mr Jim Power (Deputy Principal) who accompanied the students to the RDS.

Debs Ball

"The Park Hotel" was thrumming with glitz, glamour and excitement on Thursday last as the students of the Leaving Certificate class of 2014 arrived to celebrate their coming of age at the annual "Friary" debs ball. Parents, teachers and friends gathered outside to welcome the debutants and admire the style. Following a photo session the party goers enjoyed a delicious meal and later danced the night away to the music of UV5. Many thanks to Mr Pat Knightly and the debs committee who organised the function, thanks also to Pierce and his staff at "The Park Hotel

Leaving Certificate Results 2014
"D Day", August13th had finally arrived for all our Leaving Certificate students in St. Augustine's College, the long wait was over. The edgy atmosphere was palpable; an air of tension could be felt all over St.Augustine's College on Wednesday morning last as our Leaving Certificate students began to arrive to collect their eagerly awaited and much sought after Leaving Certificate results.
In St. Augustine's College, We offer a comprehensive guidance service to students from 1st to 6th year.
