U14 Football
The last week saw all our u14 footballers in action in championship as we played St Declan's, Kilmacthomas and De La Salle in the A & B Waterford championships.
The A team came up short, beaten in both games by physically bigger sides. We did however play some lovely football at times and the players all fought hard in the Friary jersey. I'm sure this group will have better days in the school jersey.
Our B team had better luck however as they recorded victories both days. The highlight probably being a huge comeback against DLS. This group are really gelling together well and will hopefully make the knockout stages of this competition.
In all, over thirty 1st and 2nd year boys are representing the Friary at u14 which is brilliant for the boys and also for the school.
Well done lads and thanks to mentors, Mr Darragh Duggan and Mr Paul Whyte
