It was an early 4:30am start on Friday, May 3rd for students and teachers on this year's first year trip to Alton Towers.
The conference for ES teachers took place last weekend in Dublin and was attended by delegates from nineteen countries from right across the EU.
As part of their preparation for the Leaving Certificate written exam 6th Year Art students recently travelled to Dublin to view "Becoming", the mid-career retrospective of the work of Alice Maher at the Irish Museum of Modern Art which is temporarily located at the old UCD buildings in Earlsfort terrace.
An information night for the parents/guardians of incoming 1st year students for the academic year 2013/14 will take place at the college on Monday, May 13th 2013 at 7pm. All are welcome.
Once again, Seachtain na Gaeilge was celebrated in style in St. Augustine's College this year, culminating in a 'Lá Glas' on Friday the 15th of March when both teachers and pupils dressed up to celebrate our national festival.
On Wednesday 30th of January, a group of Transition Year students participated in Euroscola, which took place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Maighread, Jodi, Caoimhe, Siún, Sarah, Tom, Darren, Megan were accompanied on the trip by their European Studies teacher, Ms Jean Walsh.
