St. Augustines started this U15 football championship with a comprehensive win over Colaiste Mhuire, Buttevant. A statement of intent was delivered early doors, with Paddy Cotter netting three excellent goals in the first 15 minutes. Owen Morrissey's powerful running from midfield was impressive, and he finished the game with 2-4 from play. Dara Gough was clinical up front, with excellent support play from wing back Dara Sullivan. The Friary will now take on St. Pats Castleisland in round two of the championship.
